Define who decides
Agree with the client on who can approve the content and who gathers internal comments. When several people weigh in, one responsible person consolidates the decision to avoid contradictory guidance.
Send the whole set
The review should include copy, media, destination and planned date. Explain the goal of the post in the notes. Share the approval link through the channel agreed with the client and check that they received the context they need.
Record the change
When content is rejected, ask for a specific comment: which passage changes, what information is wrong and what the correct guidance is. Make the adjustment to the post and resume the review before scheduling.
- Avoid feedback scattered across channels
- Tell a correction apart from a new request
- Check the version that will be published
Check the output
Editorial approval does not replace the platform's validation. After scheduling, track each destination to spot failures, expired permissions or media still processing. Agree on who follows up on these occurrences.
